For a fresh and happy start on Jan the 2nd, have a glance at Agnes Pierscieniak’s blog bigbrightblog about design, patterns, colors. It’s beautiful and so positive.
She just posted a nice article about Martin Venezky, one of the greatest artist in the US. Martin is a San Francisco-based designer who have worked for years redefining the trend of handmade compositions, typography, collages and many other disciplines as book artworks or SF Moma limited edition merchandising. Venezky is also a passionate teacher and mentor at the California College of the Arts. I feel lucky because I have been able to visit his studio in Downtown SF and it is such an inspirational space. Most of Martin’s works use found or recycle pieces, little objects, photography to create timeless detailed compositions where you just want to lose your mind, and eyes. Martin just released a design for Wired Magazine. Love it.
